If I log into a service, and I see, "Please select all images with blah", and there's a grid of tiny pictures and they're all grainy and I have to magnify like 250% in order to make anything out, I'm just as likely to say, "You know what? Never mind. I don't need to log in that badly."

There's got to be a better way. And audio's not it, because it's just as inconvenient for different reasons.

Besides, didn't they prove that ChatGPT could break those image-based captchas anyway?

The 9 June deadline for submitting talks to this year's WordPress Accessibility Day is fast approaching.

This annual, global, free, online event, held 7-8 October 2026, invites presenters to share their knowledge and experiences of digital accessibility, especially but not exclusively in the context of WordPress, the content management system that accounts for 40% of the web.

Do you have thoughts on accessibility standards - existing or upcoming? Like to talk about the impact of artifical intelligence? Have a technique or method to share that could help others? Or want to rant about how you did - or didn't - convince decision-makers to implement accessibility where you work?

You don't have to be an experienced speaker, this is about colleagues sharing information with each other and the wider community.
