The Settings GUI in #konform #browser was in need of some love and is now having a refresh. Several new knobs, some shuffling around to make things more cohesive and less scattered, and some edits of hints to hopefully reduce potential for confusion.

New options for:
- First-Party Isolation
- Enhanced #tracking Protection tweaking in Custom mode (useful mostly for FPI users)
- #webrtc and ICE
- #dom Push and its optional network connection
- #jit features
- WebAssembly (#wasm)
- Geolocation
- WebGPU
- Async callstacks support
- Persisting of browser history

Hints and the "advanced" options expand when clicking the "?" for parent option.

Still a bit hesitant on where global toggles for #webgpu and #webgl belong. And perhaps configuration for cross-origin referrer could also move to Browser Privacy controls?

Otherwise feels like things are coming together - What do you think? Anything you're missing or that feels out of place?

Когда в октябре 2024-го заблокировали Дискорд, я сидел в голосовом канале с друзьями. Связь оборвалась, все полезли за впн-ками, кто-то ушёл в Телеграм, кто-то просто пропал. Серверы, которые мы строили годами, с каналами, ролями, ботами, в один момент стали недоступны. Я фрилансер, пишу на React и Node.js. В тот вечер подумал: а насколько сложно вообще сделать свой мессенджер с серверной структурой? Не чат на вебсокетах из туториала, а нормальный. С серверами, каналами, ролями, голосовыми комнатами, ботами. Такой, чтобы можно было перетащить своё сообщество и не чувствовать разницы. Оказалось, сложно. Но я всё равно сделал.

#OBS now supports WebRTC simulcast support.

I understand it'd be a HUGE undertaking, but what kind of time/money would it take to write a library to handle this to get it into #Owncast and #Peertube ?

Right now the single most expensive thing is transcoding. If we can support #Webrtc #Simulcast that moves to end users and the server can is just a pass through enabling anyone to run live streams through their Peertube or someone to run massively more Owncast streams at once.

So I'm being serious. What would this take?
