@gabrielbxgx thanks for asking.

maybe its not really important to mention this but i will, when i say "cash" my definition differs slightly to what most people think of as "cash", i refer to a definition of cash that a classical (#AustrianSchool) economist told me is the derivation of the word. It comes from "cache". Over a century ago, cash meant #bearerTokens such as #gold, #silver and maybe (begrudgingly) govt issued notes (ie. IOUs or debt the govt and banks gave out) and coins. Bearer tokens that effectively didn't really need a central authority to verify.

So when i talk about cash i am primarily talking about "bearer tokens", a thing u can hold or a secret number that you know, to exchange your labor/time/value for what you want.

By using bearer tokens / cash it is IMPOSSIBLE for a repressive centralizing force like a single bank, or cloudflare, amazon, or akamai (whose biggest clients are allegedly the cia/nsa) from arbitrarily cutting u off from online services, because they don't like u OR something that u said online or in the street which they heard from a recording from a an 'scam'azon Ring door bell or street camera (yes they have access to these) OR they dont like the service that u are trying to access OR they don't want you to make meaningful connections and associations and develop a circular economy with like-minded people etc. There are infinite reasons they can come up with to enact cruel measures.

Sadly, this HAS been known to happen and not only to the Canada truckers although that was the sensational example. Throughout 2021 #banksters began severing online services to dissidents and those deemed (i think the phrase was something like) "legal but unfavorable" during the height of the virus fears. By cutting off peoples access to online services they were able to create a new brand of not only UNDERclass but in some cases, quasi-criminal class, forcing them out of their home, possibly without being medically experimented on, which in some circumstances would have led to criminal changes. Unless u can afford to pay a constitutional lawyer (HINT: only the rich can) its likely that many people would have slipped into extreme circumstances simply because the #banks or govt dont like one small #risk u might present to their interests.

i hope i don't trigger anyone by saying, if covid hadn't accelerated the destruction of the social fabric, its quite likely another bearer token would be used today globally, #bitcoin, and possibly even monero, but as i say covid effectively took an axe to people's ability to communicate and build a more egalitarian society. (quietly i will say most ppl were instead pushed into myopic online fights, eg fever pitch mask debates, or debates on removing historical monuments that might reflect poorly on our past, online indoctrination platforms seem to have deliberately ended all other genuine debates)

The "uncensorability" of bearer tokens / #cash is just one reason to use them.... #privacy is an important part of #safety and #security also and the grandfather of #gnu (+linux) #richardStallman (@rms) has important things to say in that area of privacy. See interviews he did with #SophieShevardnadze. :)

Again there are more reasons but i've said too much and your server (mastodon.social) is #Fastly. I don't believe the instance minds me informing you that Fastly is becoming too big a player in the  fediverse and ideally, people ought move to a another service (hopefully not a C.A.G.E.M.A.F.I.A. one), to limit Fastly's influence. I'm happy to offer help on that if u want.

i hope that helps explain why cash is needed for resisting #tyranny and the #technocracy.

@arstechnica This is another reason why #Monero is what people thought #Bitcoin would be: Monero’s decentralized, individual CPU-based mining.

#decentralized and #uncensorable. Impossible to regulate. Impossible to govern except by consensus.

That's where one is showing signs of not having done the research, bitcoin (and monero) are hosted all over the world by people who use it, tens of thousands have a copy of the ledger, in the form of a blockchain. It is #uncensorable but *does* have certain risks if one's device has malware (#nonFreeSoftware).

It helped #Wikileaks when #Paypal and #Visa (now #CloudGlare) dropped them, for revealing #warCrimes by the US.

Bitcoin does require #computers/people be better, though. πŸ˜‘

The future we're building is sovereign and #uncensorable.

Very soon to DAO & token launch...πŸ‘€

Also I've been trying to post a bit more on #Authencity (https://authencity.io/user/twifag), it's an $ETH / $MATIC based social media site where all posts are actually #NFTs (https://opensea.io/Twifag). That means they're literally #uncensorable since an NFT can never be removed from the blockchain.

Biggest downside: Because each post is a minted NFT, every post costs gas to make. On $ETH this can get high. They also have some complicated incentivization scheme with their native $AUTH token, paying $/post

If you need to destroy the principles that give #uncensorable money its power, you're doing it wrong.

Any 3rd party intermediary is a #security hole and it must be plugged up. It doesn't matter if theyre the most trustworthy entity on the planet. Regimes change, peoples views change, plan accordingly.

Approach anyone selling this idea cautiously, because this is the antithesis of what #bitcoin offers.

If Minimint is successful getting deployed and adopted that will be a huge win for Bitcoin scalability, making people accept the fact that custodianship isn't bad and can be made even less badder. Improving custodianship is the road for hyperbitcoinization, not shitting on it.

Apparently there's #freeLicense software that is a bit tricky to understand at first but it allows #uncensorable payments.

If our memory is correct, it starts with a 'b' and ends in '#itCoin?

From what we know, #MeshNetworking is lowerLevel than #I2P and requires specialist #hardware.

It is designed to work like a distributed #HAMRadio network.

I2P has been used for many years and is a good path to go down. In order to make I2P truely #uncensorable all we need to do is build the network, tell more people about it. When we depend on it (and on #Tor of course) for our livelihoods then govts cannot attack it with impunity (if they are doing that now).
