It is #uncensorable but *does* have certain risks if one's device has malware (#nonFreeSoftware).
It helped #Wikileaks when #Paypal and #Visa (now #CloudGlare) dropped them, for revealing #warCrimes by the US.
Bitcoin does require #computers/people be better, though. 😑

It's not that laughable to setup, people do use it. We saw a person running for a mayoral position here in #Australia that did it.
If folk don't own their own #communication and access to their own #money is guarded by #CloudGlare (unsurprisingly #chuffed.org is Cf'd), they effectively have nothing. Those two things, the ability to assign personal time and value, if those they are able to be subverted by a large actor at anytime, #protesting cannot go far.
