Looking for a game to get you in the zone? heXon: Astral Arcade is a twin-stick-shooter that may do just that. With its neon style graphics and darkpsy soundtrack, it's bound to put you on the edge of your seat, once you manage to wrap your head around the game dynamics. Despite drawing inspiration from games like Asteroids and Geometry Wars it is unlike either.
heXon was first released to itch in 2016. This year the ships were equipped with ability modules that - beyond shooting - allow the player to dive, ram, repel and drop depth charges. Although best played with a dual analog controller, keyboard and mouse input are also supported. The mouse input is relative, so it's most suitable for trackpoints.
