In any #sports - not just #motorsports - every method that isn't explicitly banned is being used.

Regardless if #doping or #materials and techniques.

In fact all the #US car makers were such bad loosers that when #Audi pwned them in #TransAm due to their superior #4WD they lobbied to ban #AWD and only allow rear-weel drive and front wheel steering.
When #swimmers don't #dope they put on the most-efficient tournament legal gear to the point that if it was legal they'd be doing full-body "sharkskin" microtextured latex, swinning gloves and extra-long fins as well as full-face masks with a tiny air tank to maximize speed and minimize drag.
