Neat seeing David Hobbs hang out for a while during the Indycar Warmup this morning. Hobbs of course was THE voice of Formula One here in America when I was growing up, and also did a number of Speed Channel broadcasts and I grew up watching a lot of old Daytona 500s he'd worked on too. Glad to see my man is still pretty sharp at 87 years old, a legend.

There's always some drivers I know from various #NASCAR series whenever I watch #TransAm #TA2 races like this one at Sonoma from the weekend I have on. The cars they race are functionally almost the same as stock car late models and built by some of the same companies that do a lot of the nation's late models, so the series is really good training for young drivers who want to learn how to road race in a stock car prior to moving into the top 3 series in NASCAR.
