There is one amazing feature of soviet-era cars: they share terrible build quality  This rare, station wagon type GAZ-22 Volga is in tip-top condition, but from afar one can notice uneven door gaps all around. Something westerners would call sloppy repair after crash, soviet cars had new from the factory.

Remembering that sedan version of it (GAZ-21 Volga) was an executive car of the 60s-70s, well, comrades functioneers were in for a treat, "perfected" by glorified (yet often drunk) factory workers 

There are plenty of stories from that time when folks retrieved new car fresh from the factory and had to perform repairs (different keys, loose bolts, broken break hoses, leaking radiators, etc.) at once to be able to take it for a spin
