#tootsearch がサービス終了する時にも、サーバーやユーザーによってプライバシーや公開範囲の考え方が違うことも串刺し検索実現の弊害になってたって背景というかエピソードみたいなものがあった気がするんだけど（めちゃめちゃうろ覚え）#Mastodon が串刺し検索を実装することの難しさはそういう技術以外のところにもあるんだろうな…

Mastodon by default unfortunately only supports searching via hashtags. You can't search via content in posts unless they type a specific hashtag.

There are exceptions though...

The https://universeodon.com instance has implemented a custom feature for searching text in posts. I'm hoping this gets adopted by more instances! It makes finding like minded and interesting discussions that much better.

Trying there might help you find skeptics and ufo related discussions that way 😉

Full text searching of toots is possible!

It runs a custom full text search implementation for the instance.

It won't catch everything but it makes finding interesting and like-minded magnitudes easier than painfully spamming hashtags.

#tootsearch もプライバシーの配慮から閉鎖になったみたいだけど、トゥートの公開設定によってどこまでトゥートが広がってどこまで制限できるのかって技術とマナーの両方の面で知っておきたい感はある
