I have Signal on my Android phones. I installed Signal from The Guardian Project repo, which means it has the UnifiedPush notification handler, and not the Google one. _Google Play Store_ (which for SOME reason gets updates FASTER than the Guardian Project) keeps wanting to be the one to update Signal.
How do I tell it no, f### no, cornbread hell no with damnation sprinkles, ONLY UPDATE FROM WHERE YOU CAME FROM?
(Obviously the F-Droid repos have figure this out, they won't even let me update from Izzy when I've installed from the main F-Droid repo... but Google? nooooo... I suspect fsckery, and I'm probably right, but I want to make it STFU... would MicroG help? (Can I _do_ that on an otherwise stock Android phone? I tried going with Aurora Store, but it wasn't updating things I _wanted_ updating, soooooo...)
