#toadstoolTuesday this brown and white mottled toadstool under an oak tree. The older specimens on the site we're going shaggy at the edges and making a dark liquid.

Happy #Tuesday, y'all.
I'm having a few days off with a sickness bug. Not nice, but there you go.

In totally unrelated news, I noticed these really pretty little #fungi growing outside our back gate underneath the magnificent #beech #tree who guards our home from uninvited zephyrs and earth-bound wraiths.

Don't know what it is, but I love the lilac grey colour.

And don't worry, I'm not going to eat it.

I'm too late for #mushroommonday and a little early for #fungusfriday. How about #ToadstoolTuesday?

I went to Kiberick Cove (see last post) to hunt for an old record of a very rare mushroom, the Date Waxcap. I didnโ€™t find the date sadlyโ€ฆ but I did find this new-to-me #waxcap in the #grassland instead!

Meet the Yellow-foot Waxcap (Cuphophyllus flavours). Named for fairly obvious reasons! ๐Ÿ˜
