I’m enjoying the lovely bright greens of spring. And the mushrooms are popping up.
Here's some unidentified mushrooms from the Wiley Trails. They look to me rather like Wilford Brimley's mustache had a bunch of babies who decided to go out and eat dead trees.
This moss covered stump, with its trio of Hemlock Varnish Shelfs [Ganoderma tsugae] has stood high above a ravine for several years, and been a landmark for finding a shortcut to a larger trail.
I’m losing them to time, their once shiny red tops, having faded, soon to rejoin the forest floor.
