Blowing the dust off some of my #GOG games.

Randomly fired up #ThiefGold (#ThiefTheDarkProject) and suddenly remembered "holy crap this is one of those games that I was missing from my life". Again.

Fun thing: I've never actually played through Thief Gold, but I've played through original Thief TDP maybe two and half times. (I bought the budget release of the game in late 2000s and for some unfathomable reason it had TDP and not Gold). Thief Gold was one of the first games I bought off of GOG actually, yet I've never played through it, and only got like halfway through the first new mission (thieves' guild thing).

I still have my TG saves from earlier, but I guess it's time for a completely new playthrough. Tracked on GOG Galaxy this time too.

Reminds me, I've only ever played through Thief II once and I never got around to playing Thief Deadly Shadows on PC (because it used to run like dog under Wine, I guess) and even on Xbox 360 it had weird backwards compatibility glitches.

Of all the games I’ve played in the last few years, the unofficial #ThiefTheDarkProject expansion, #TheBlackParade remains the one I think about the most. I loathed the last level, but everything up to that was so inventive and interesting

Al contrario, un sequel non ufficiale totalmente gratuito è ancora molto popolare. I am humbled by the support people are showing for the Thief: The Dark Project remastered soundtrack.

Some of you asked about the release of a DigiPak version: I don't exclude this, but I'll have to check with the original owners, with regard to the graphics and artwork of the physical release.

The immersive audio release is still a higher priority. I'd like to design a virtual environment in which the most atmospheric tracks will evolve naturally and spontaneously, without revealing my presence as an engineer. I'd like for these ambient tracks to feel like a space in which you'll venture, with your headphones, anywhere you want. If I get scared of my own environment, it will have worked.

I am lucky and humbled to be endorsed by one of the best brands in immersive audio today, and I've been working with them for the latest release of their plug-ins. I cannot think of a better ecosystem for a project like this one.
