#Gratitude is at the heart of the authentic spiritual experience: prayer is an act not of begging or beseeching or wanting or needing, but of #thanking. bit.ly/453ossb
#boost ing on #fedi has an issue. You can work around it.
It can generate a lot of "noise" when used without discretion -- same as would following very large numbers of accounts. You can block just the boosts of accounts that do trash boosting.
But there is no default mechanism for #thanking the /booster/ of posts you are delighted to see and might otherwise have missed.
If replying to a post that was boosted, why not "mention-in" the person who boosted it if you think they'd appreciate it? Even if not replying, and particularly if re-boosting, why not just mention the booster anyway? This would probably freak big pump-it-out type accounts, but not me. I sometimes wonder if I'm promoting what I consider valuable into the void.
#Christians do well to #pray #consistently and often.
Christians should spend a good amount of time #thanking God in prayer for all He has done for them.
They do well to pray for their own needs and for the #wisdom and strength to glorify God in all things.
They should pray for others as well: for all to come to a knowledge of the truth and be saved, for those who proclaim the #Gospel, and for many other people regarding many other matters.

It may seem obvious that #thanking someone for a favor makes them more willing to do another one, but you might be surprised at how big a difference it makes.
That insight comes from #Wharton psychologist and #NewYorkTimes bestselling author #AdamGrant. In a #LinkedIn post about email, Grant describes a study he did along with Francesca Gino, a professor at the Harvard Business School.
