Me ever since #LiquidGlass was introduced at #WWDC and seeing the downfall of Apple “Design.”

It's time to take a break and shower. I've been watching #apple #wwdc videos on #Swift and SwifData. Which is a very new thing, but VERY powerful. And my favorite Swifters, like @twostraws haven't really mentioned, what I've seen, about truthiness in SwiftData. It is so easy to pop up these databases for every View, but you need a single source of truth, and Apple rails on this a lot. And I vibe coded some of that, and it's dog vommit, because truthiness isn't talked about enough, I think. SO..

My wish list for #wwdc this year:

1) Revert #LiquidGlass, it's a cool idea but it's just unusable.
2) Fix #autocorrect... seriously. I spend way too long fixing text on my devices and for the love of God stop retroactively changing words after I've typed the next one.
3) Make #Siri useful again... actually useful. She's currently an egg timer and her other uses could be replaced by NFC tags / smart button. It's embarrassing.
4) Stop with #AppleIntelligence. Just, stop.

5) Fix end user prompts. Just stop popping up dialogs asking me to accept this, or elevate that. It's so tiring and just trains users to click the accept button for everything ... have you guys even watched your own adverts mocking Windows #UAC??
6) Relocate to Ireland. US #CloudAct means iCloud is untrustworthy, I'll be migrating away and recommending others do the same.
7) Keep going with Apple Silicon, your hardware is killing it.

iOS 26 notuje wyjątkowo wolną adopcję kilka miesięcy po premierze

Z danych StatCounter ze stycznia 2026 roku wynika, że tylko 15–16% aktywnych iPhone’ów na świecie działa na iOS 26.

Dla porównania, analogiczne wersje iOS w poprzednich latach osiągały ponad 50–60% adopcji w podobnym czasie. Większość użytkowników pozostaje na iOS 18, głównie dzięki dalszym aktualizacjom bezpieczeństwa oraz mieszanym opiniom wokół nowego interfejsu Liquid Glass, który wprowadza radykalne zmiany wizualne.

Brak oficjalnych danych Apple nie zmienia obrazu: użytkownicy wyraźnie wstrzymują się z aktualizacją.

Chętnie zobaczyłbym również dane dotyczące adopcji macOS Tahoe – podejrzewam, że w tym przypadku ta byłaby jeszcze niższa. Wiele osób narzeka na Liquid Glass, choć Apple znacznie poprawiło ten nowy interfejs od dnia jego premiery. Przynajmniej na iOS 26.2, ale problem leży gdzie indziej. Nawet jeśli iOS jest nieustannie poprawiany, to pozostałe systemy dostają te zmiany z opóźnieniem lub w ogóle. Przez to brakuje spójności pomiędzy nimi, do której Apple przez dekady nas przyzwyczajało. Nawet jeśli nie są to wielkie braki, ale lekka zmiana ikonografii to tu to tam, nie dziwię się, że wiele osób się wstrzymuje.
