the audio had been mixed down in Reaper and processed by one of my python scripts, member of a CLI software suite for audio-video syncing/media assets management and custom GNSS based timecode generators. 🤪
The Reaper tracks and markers here have all been cut from ISOs (and placed on the timeline) programmatically. For this I'm generating Reaper Lua code with python scripts.

Are all those fancy TC boxes used to sync a scratch track that will always be ditched? And then you have to pay through the nose for conforming apps and cross your finger they'll do their magic?

Finally got Sonarworks and whilst I was quite surprised how good the ITB monitoring was. Sonarworks revels a lot more detail in reverb and stereo image but the test going through the Soundcraft is a totally different story, massive dip at 50Hz needed and a fairly strong boost at 100Hz.
Surprised how lumpily the Soundcraft colours the signal.

I'm recording my program (art songs!) for Monday the 31st early, as I'm in North Adams this coming weekend for Bang on a Can. And I just want to say that extreme dynamic range works better in the concert hall or on a home stereo than with radio. It can be hard to set levels so as to not over-modulate but also not lose the lows (and sorry to those listening in noisy environment).
