My #UselessInfrastructure is making progress. And I learned a lot about #docker, #dockercompose, #Kafka and #OpenSearch while setting it up.

I added also #KafkaUI to get some insights on the topics and what's going on under the hood in Kafka.

In my day job I'm working as a #solutionarchitect and get sometimes to tinker around with different technologies.

Yesterday I played around with #elasticsearch and realized that it is #opencode and not really #opensource so I tried out also the #apache #solr search platform.

But this is not about elastic search vs. Solar.

Since I anyhow had to implement a view test scripts I thought what if I build a kind of "useless infrastructure" the only purpose is to see how things are integrated.

Very pleased to have completed the #AWS #CloudQuest Solution Architect track and gain this badge.

It was a great way to get hands on through AWS Labs and practice some key skills in order to gain more experience and develop architect qualities on the AWS stack.

I found Cloud Quest a really good way to learn and prepare for one of the next steps which will hopefully be the Solution Architect Associate exam.
