More overgrowth and obstruction on an off-road shared use path reported. Why are these routes allowed to get into such a state? I haven't been this way for a while, but it's rarely properly clear.

Well, I was right to not hold my breath. #WarwickshireCountyCouncil have indeed cleared the overgrowth, but they've paid no attention to the potentially unlawful, outdated, and ultimately pointless barrier. No surprises there.
I mentioned this earlier, but I'm putting it on the blog - a contender for Nuneaton's shortest and most pointless shared use path, and a new installation too!

When it comes to shared use infrastructure, how short is too short? Perhaps when it's only a few metres, flanked on either side by a regular footpath (i.e., not designated for cycling), and where the path on the opposite side has a proper and useful (if poor considering modern standards) shared use
