Update. "Protecting research from censorship: resources for scholarly publishers."
https://blog.scholasticahq.com/post/protecting-research-resources-for-scholarly-publishers/
"The onslaught of executive actions introduced over the past few months to impose significant funding cuts and workforce reductions on federal research agencies, take down public data, and prohibit the use of words related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) has left many in the crosshairs grappling to wrap their heads around the implications of hastily issued government directives and policy changes. While there are still more unknowns than answers, initiatives are forming to track, assess, and help individuals and organizations respond to threats to research, including the Declaration To Defend Research Against US Government Censorship (#DefendResearch declaration), which #Scholastica has joined. We’ve developed this blog post to help scholarly publishers and editors stay abreast of guidance and initiatives pertinent to their operations and communities…We will update this post with new information as it becomes available."

How can journals tell which aspects of their peer review processes work well and which may need some work? EASE has released draft guidelines for assessing peer review quality to help journal publishers and editors get closer to an answer.

February 10 is the feast day of St. #Scholastica, the "sister" of St. Benedict of Nursia. She so enjoyed his company that she once prayed for a rainstorm so that his visit would have to extend another night.
Very glad to see this from #Scholastica.

"Including persistent identifiers (aka #PIDs) in article-level #metadata is one of the best ways to improve journal archiving and discovery while promoting #interoperability across scholarly communication systems. That’s why Scholastica [has]…integrated our peer review system, production service, and #OA publishing platform with #ROR institutional identifiers."
We're excited to announce ROR institutional identifier support for Scholastica's peer review system, production service, and open access publishing platform, making Scholastica one of the first journal software providers to integrate with ROR. Get the details!
