I’ve been looking for a way to sync my #RemarkablePaper with #Zotero. What I liked about the #Remarkable was the active community around it. But apparently the lack of documentation paired with frequent API/format changes made it more and more difficult for reverse engineering projects to keep up. The foundational #rmapi project has now been archived. It’s really sad to see that the company does not embrace its community more, which could make a difference given the increasing competition.

I guess it was only a matter of time until the #remarkablePaper got some competition. I really like the product and I can imagine it’s not easy for a start-up to compete with the big players, so I’m curious to see how they’ll hold up. But what #Lenovo apparently showed at the #CES23 is really just a shameless rip-off.
