#RaspberryPiPico as an Apple II Workstation Card clone idea has taken over my mind! Went off to find the documentation on how it hooks into #ProDOS and can't find anything. Except back when I worked on *two* Apple II emulators for the NeXT I *did* know because I used the same trick to access the Mach filesystem from ProDOS. Where did I learn it? It was over 30 years ago, way before the World Wide Web, search engines, and scanned in books. A2 TIL note? #RetroComputing #VintageComputing

Just fixed my #cc65 boilerplate for #apple2 Now after compiling, the makefile inserts the new #ProDos image into Virtual][ emulator (MacOS) and “brun”s the project file. Como já noticiamos mais de uma vez, o vetusto sistema operacional para micros da linha Apple II segue sendo melhorado e atualizado pelo John Brooks do grupo Call-A.P.P.L.E. e agora no finalzinho do ano saiu mais uma versão, a 2.4.3 com várias correções de bug (por exemplo, retornava o ano incorreto com uma certa placa

I think I got obsessed with #cc65 compiler. I abandoned all work until I made a C program for my #apple2 clone which reads a contemporary, but converted image from the file system and shows it on the screen. I'm not even a C programmer. #prodos #pravetz8 #retrocomputing

My #AppleIIe now has a disk ][ and a modern #ProDOS card 👏 I was an Apple II+ user back in the day, so I'm not familiar with ProDOS. But that's okay, I'm having a lot of fun learning a new (old 😁) OS.

Being polyglot in programming languages back in the early days of personal computing was pretty much a given. Especially on the Apple ][. DOS shell, then Prodos, Pascal, FORTRAN, Logo, assembler (and monitor ROM routines) and of course Basic, in a few flavors, from woz Integer Basic, Applesoft Basic to Beagle Bros Basic. And compilers.
