After some wild mathematical hat rendering yesterday, kicked off by @scruss and @paulrickards, I've got John Brooks' ridiculously optimized 10 line Applesoft BASIC program running on the IIe.

(Time-lapse video; the hat takes about 9 minutes to render on the 1MHz IIe.)

The original source of the image, used as stock art in quite a number of places, a photograph of a museum display taken by Théodore Poncet, is misleadingly labelled "a laptop on a table". M. Poncet's LinkedIn history says that in 2022 when xe took the photograph xe was working as a developer for Apple.

So there's that. (-:

Ripping my #jpn #tronares #soundtrack because I don’t want to mess up the delicate packaging. Is this version of the soundtrack a bit kitschy? Yes, but that’s why I dig it. I plan on storing it with the rest of my #commodore #atari #appleIIe floppies. :)
