It was their first “portable” computer — sort of. No built-in display or battery, but compact, lightweight, and ready to go with a handle. Basically the MacBook Air of its floppy-disk era.

PLATO war ein frühes System für Online-Communities, das insbesondere für bildschirmbasierte Online-Trainings benutzt wurde. Ideen aus PLATO wurden später in Lotus Notes aufgegriffen. The Apple IIc to Imagewriter II cable seems to be almost as rare as hen's teeth. The ones that do come up on Ebay fetch stupid amounts of money for something that is relatively simple to make.
