The main shrine of Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine, where Edo carvings still remain.
Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine is the place to visit between strolls in Kawagoe.
It is famous for the Kawagoe Hikawa Festival and as a shrine of marriage.
The main hall, completed in 1849, is open to the public on a limited basis.
The Edo carving by a master craftsman of the Edo period is a masterpiece.
Please come and see it with your own eyes.
After a huge brunch 😁 we had a little walk around the #Letzenbergkapelle (little chapel) today.
The Letzenberg is a hill in the rhine plain where - on a good day - you can see the three low mountain ranges surrounding the area: The Odenwald, the Palatinate & the Black Forest.
Today was such a day although it's again grey & rainy. 🙏
