Another Samhain special I’ve been thinking about is this painting, Friday, by Leonora Carrington, 1978. This picture is about communing with the primordial, which we can access in forgotten spaces, like beneath the table. I love this picture and think about it a lot. It’s in the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art at the University of Oklahoma.
