The Port of Morrow datacenter in Eastern Oregon is currently in a lawsuit noting their depleting impact on the regions water table and the nitrates concentrating within it.

The Google datacenter in The Dalles are pushing to utilize further water resources from Mount Hood National Forest as they build out the structure for more output.
Now an 'exascale' datacenter is in the works in Boardman, OR for Amazon, 80 miles East of The Dalles Google datacenter - both on the Columbia river.
These don't bring economic outputs to the region, they rely on massive tax cuts, they are massive burdens to the local environment, they promise job growth but only sustain paltry numbers...yet they continue to be built.
