Chocolate and light art - what a wonderful concept! Unfortunately, the chocolate shop was closed when I visited the Museum Ritter's (as in Ritter Sport) Brilliant Works exhibition. Anyway, the light art compensated.

Betty Rieckmann's A Morphing Frank Stella 10 is no doubt the best light-colour-study-square-or-circle artwork I've ever seen, and I've seen some. It was quite impossible to take a photo of it with my camera, so this image is merely a reconstruction. The peacefully rolling colour scheme was random-looking but at the same time so deliberately composed that no second of it was uninteresting. Such unique, unexpected, beautiful combinations! This artwork alone was worth the detour.

Michael Pederson does (among other things) wonderful, public – and very small – art pieces. Unfortunately I haven't seen any live, thus the photo is not mine but (I presume) Mr. Pederson's.

Alessandro Lupi's Antiego is one of those artworks that go: "whatta heck is this there's nothing there I'll just quickly walk to the next one oh what is this OH WHAT IS THIS IT'S AMAZING!". You know, as art sometimes does. Do check if you have a chance, and give it some time.

Katja Heitmann's Perpetuum has won some prizes, and for a good reason. In spite of its technical prowess it is very down to earth, humane and warm, showing people just like us, among us.

Liudmila Siewerski's Zeitrisse was an exceptionally stylish projection mapping, with a breathing rhythm and beautifully composed colour scheme – and without horror vacui whatsoever. Turns out, Re.Light has succeeded presenting several interesting mappings!

I've always though that if you want to project on trees, then trees should have leaves. Well, I was wrong. Javier Riera's The Luminous Grove played leaf-free trees of Regensburg perfectly, using them more as a tulle than a screen. There was no black, but emptiness; holes instead of black circles. The whole projection was floating, three-dimensional, multi layered object rather than a picture.

Also, no flying bricks nor twisting towers, so I've finally found a large projection mapping piece that I like.
