A #janglepop masterpiece of the highest order for last spin of the night.

I learned of The Plimsouls as a kid the same way a lot of other people did; by hearing “A Million Miles Away” in the movie Valley Girl, which was on TV constantly in Boston when I was growing up.

One of my sister’s friends loved The Plimsouls, and I borrowed her blank tape copy of it, and never gave it back.

That song IS great, but it’s hardly the only gem here. The whole first side absolutely slays, and Peter Case is criminally underrated as a songwriter.

Shockingly, it took me a looooong time to find an OG pressing of this in great shape, but I was finally able to last summer whilst in Orange, California at Left Of The Dial Records. A great store which I will once again be visiting in two weeks during my trip to Disneyland.
