That's a huge indictment of our primary and secondary #education system. Boys are graduating high school without the ability to read, write, or engage in critical analysis. As a result, tens of millions of men may vote against their own interests in this election, because THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT POLICIES ARE MOST LIKELY TO BENEFIT THEM AND HOW.
This has been true for many cycles, but at no time has it been as massively obvious as it is now.

No, Jake Tapper, the abolition of #cashBail is not at fault for every crime that has taken place since its inception. No correlation between abolishing cash bail and higher crime rates has been uncovered by research.
Indeed, studies have shown that pretrial #incarceration—that is, the jailing of individuals not convicted of any crime — leads to higher #unemployment and greater #recidivism after release. And, of course, pretrial detention is a major contributor to #overincarceration.

If you don't like the abolition of cash bail, take it up with the Founders. The Eighth Amendment provides that defendants will not be burdened with "excessive #bail"—a provision we've steadfastly ignored for far too long.
