I was finally able to light up some of the tubes my friend and I pulled the other day. I phosphor coated them to back the pinks with pink light and the browns with amber light.
I still think I could fine tune the warm white to be more amber by adding a bit more red and green. I want to add more red to the pink.
While drying them out slowly with the electric leaf blower does help keep the powder in and allow for same day burning out the binder, I still rushed burning out the most intense pink tube for this test, so it was a bit flakey.
The argon only and dim isn't too bad, although it is neat to see with the gold brown that it is possible to use too much color when the glass is thick. I think I could use even more than a kilo for the pink, the darker pink loop used a whole kilo on the pull and the lighter one used about half a killogram.
I just pulled a few more tubes down, and am mixing up a batch of orchid purple to coat next.
