On a winter’s day in the Kampina, I crossed paths with one of my favorites: the Crested Tit (Lophophanes cristatus), or kuifmees in Dutch.

A small, energetic bird with its unmistakable crest—like a tiny mohawk—usually hidden high in pine canopies. Not an easy one to spot, let alone photograph. But after days of snow, this little one came down, likely searching for food beyond its usual shelter.

There it was, hopping in and out of the snowy branches, quick, alert, and full of character.

Moments like these make the list grow. The robin, the kingfisher, the long-tailed tit… and now this one. Each encounter a reminder of how much life surrounds us, if we just take the time to look.

One planet. One responsibility. In a universe where life is rare, this feels worth protecting.

Planetary Health – One planet. One health. Our future.

This exhibition explores how closely human and planetary health are intertwined – and what happens when this delicate rhythm is disrupted. It also explores how we as humans can contribute to positive change.

It will take place from March 20 to September 30, 2026 at the Deutsche Museum on the Museum Island in Munic, Germany.

Aber: Problematisch ist dann auch das gegeneinander Ausspielen von privaten Bemühungen und Politik/Wirtschafts-Verantwortung. Es bringt schlussendlich nicht viel, wenn Du deinen Fussabdruck unter 1 bringst, aber der grosse Rest der Menschheit in den Metropolen inkl. der Politik/Wirtschaft kümmert's einen Schei*.

Also tu dir nicht unnötigen Zwang an, solange nicht verbindliche Vorschriften oder angepasste Strukturen existieren, die für alle den Fussabdruck vermindern. Sonst bist du am Schluss nur frustriert. Das heisst aber auch nicht, dass du allen Schei* mitmachen musst, nur weil es viele andere auch tun. Sondern sei Vorbild, so weit dir das möglich ist. Du musst deine eigene Balance finden.

Und nicht vergessen: Sich weiterhin mit aller Kraft dafür einsetzen, dass die globalen Strukturen in der gewünschten Richtung sich ändern. Aber das machst du ja glaub schon.

Ich bin seit Anfang Jahr neu Vorstandsmitglied im Verein Kardendorf.

Ziel dieses Gemeinschafts-Projektes: Ein Dorf mit einfachen Behausungen zu ermöglichen (80-150 Leute), das zeigt, dass ein gutes Leben innerhalb planetarer Grenzen möglich ist.

Am nächsten Wochenende findet in Hinteregg (Zürcher Oberland) ein Kennenlerntreffen für Interessierte statt.

Your hard work and tax money are used by dirty politicians to maintain their power. Cut them off.

"But won't they just use their own wealth to hire private security?"

Yes, but they won't have any kind of authority over you. They'll be hired thugs breaking the law, nothing more.

Because they're public officials, they need public money to justify the deportations and the abuse.
