Today's good news story from NZ involves little blue penguins (kororā). I don't know what's in the water, but the Oamaru colony is having a bumper breeding season.
They'll break the previous record of 570 chicks in a season. So far 440 chicks have fledged and another 300 are ready to pop out. Penguins for everyone!

I know it's a long long shot, but The Night Circus is one of our all-time favorite books and this event looks amazing. Is there any chance anyone has an extra 1 or 2 tickets to The Night Circus at the #Oamaru #SteamPunk Festival that they would sell us? Either Friday or Saturday night. (Much less interested in the matinee) We would be eternally grateful.

This version of their #tripel is a little bit sweeter than the OG but has nice spiced biscuit flavours as added bonus.
