Spent the last 3 days getting villages to actually use their stored goods and change on screen because of it. In the clip, a town can grow when it has enough, or shrink when it runs short. Even with a few weird bugs, it already makes the world feel much more alive. The sliding tile is meant to be a house being built 😅

This week moved from defining items to making the world actually yield them. Built a small item tool to feed clean data into Godot and the server, then gathering and inventory started working in-game. Lots of ups and downs but the first resource loop feels real. Next: stabilize gathering and UI, nail drop tables, hook crafting and trading. Posting from the co-working space today.

I officially started coding work on my next dungeon crawler today. I'm starting out by refactoring some years-old pain points and implementing my tentative new design for how stats will work.
I'm moving up to #GodotEngine 4.6.1 this time. So far so good. It seems more streamlined and performant than 4.4.
