@jsnell @incomparable
Sicko here. 😉 I don’t have time to watch TV, instead I listen to the incomparable during commutes to get my media content.

@bsots As always I feel very privileged that I can listen to such a great set of music. An what a thrill to hear Rhapsody in Blue at the end. Gave me Goosebumps #lovetheshow
@atpfm Thank you for but another insight into US American eating culture. It’s so different from pizza in Germany 😀

@atpfm My father was a private banker and he taught me that a bank needs to earn money from its customers. In order to do that, it needs to have customers. And to keep customers, you need to be good to them. Otherwise they will move on. Seems that tech bros need to get this insight too. #lovetheshow

(Edit: loved the nuance in the follow-up discussion)

@atpfm “Even” Windows has a built-in clipboard manager that holds the last 30 copies. Press <windows-key>-v to activate. You can even pin favourites. I’d say it’s time that Cupertino starts its photo copiers. đŸ€” #lovetheshow

This is the reply from @kagihq to solve searching for Lex Friedman. Not optimal, but it works. Would be even better if it worked for everyone out of the box. (Box? Search engine?)

@RecDiffs interesting ice discussion follow-up. Only now it became clear to me that @siracusa was not talking about a day of making ice cream, but water ice cubes. Such a cultural difference with us Dutch. We never use ice cubes but we spent a day to make ice cream. 😀 🍧 #lovetheshow

@RecDiffs interesting discussion on the state of washing appliances in the US of A. We had a top-loader washing machine for 25 years. Its main difference with a front-loader is that the front is closed and the top of the cylinder has a flap that gives access to the cylinder.
(Also 7 years is not old for an appliance. #shocked)

@RecDiffs Hi! I’m working with lots of EU colleagues from different countries. We speak Euro-English with each other and use words like “automatize” to automate. This even finds its way into EU regulations. 😀 Here’s a list: https://eca.europa.eu/other%20publications/en_terminology_publication/en_terminology_publication.pdf

@allusionistshow Dear Helen,
Have you ever wondered about the origin of the word Shampoo, the hair wash soap? Its story is quite fascinating. Just heard a German language podcast about the person who introduced it into the English language. https://overcast.fm/+zm9ADRo1k (if you’re interested and understand the language) #lovetheshow
