There really should be more #en #lgbtqia #misskey servers... Misskey is a really pleasant software to use, it seems stable, and it has been around a long time. I'm in a few Misskey servers and #heonkey (this server) is the best one I've been in with a transfem-oriented community and plenty of emotes but it's still quite small. I understand #sharkey is a direct alternative but I feel like it needs more time to pave its own path, being a fork of Misskey.

#NewInstance update. Working late after my day job, I have all the tooling installed. All I should have to do is build the container and run it. I am working in a VM on my dev computer. It has been a... wild ride for some larger instances lately. Just saw the info about mastodon.au; They will be shutting down in 3 months (was 7 days*).This does not give people much time to move over.

If you are on #mastodonau and are looking for a new instance related to gaming, art, tech and general day-to-day life, we would love to have you on toot.garden!

Importing accounts should be a breeze right now, as the system is sitting at 8% CPU utilization with some recent upgrades :)

If you are on mastodon.au PLEASE move to another instance. Doesn't need to be toot.garden! Once your instance goes down, it's gone, and you can't recover your account.

*The timeline changed to 3 months, but I still don't recommend waiting.

Soo still not back to full health, still not COVID (unless the tests are all false negative). Though I did figure out that I will need to upgrade my hosting to be able to properly install Mastodon. Yay.. Considering migrating. Need a well moderated instance that doesn't make excuses not to block known racists (so not Kolektiva) and doesn't bash trans folks for protesting or being too loud. Preferably very left but not the exclusionary kind of anarchist. Having mastodon.social blocked is a huge plus.

Nothing wrong here i just don't mesh with the moderation style. ~Grimm
