My mum and step dad are going away 8-12th June, and said she won’t be able to help with moving that week. We can’t get keys on weekends. She told me to tell the letting agents I’m ready from the 15th.

I really don’t want to piss off the landlord, who is already fed up with the delays. I can get my stuff moved with an extra person for £50. But it’s things like cleaning and fixing a few things, so I get my deposit back.

Plus the longer I wait, less money I get back from days not lived here, which messes up my finances.

I don’t know what to do.

The above is the joke I would have made if I had had the time to make it. It meant that my cat had made it to the new apartment safely.

He's made it safely... and I'm now mostly moved. I still have a few items to grab from my old place, but that'll wait until tomorrow because today my legs are killing me.

In the process of #moving . A few observations:
1. The 2 bed flat in a complex is very quiet and peaceful compared to the 4000 ft sq place on 1 1/2 acres with busy roads and neighbors with fully lit yard at night.
2. We have a dining room next to the kitchen and now eat together more often.
3. There’s a free shuttle into town which is less than 1 mile away
4. Our bikes are once again in the living room. I can’t wait to start biking now we have actual… #bike lanes… on the main road.
We have learned so much about what’s important in this transition. After only 3 days, I am so happy and at peace.

I'm a bit late with the news. Yesterday, I did my last round of meditation and I took my last daily walk at my current apartment.

I did not meditate or take a daily walk today, nor will I tomorrow. Unsure about Friday and Saturday.

I figure that with the round trips I make to the new apartment with boxes and stuff, I'm putting in roughly the same energy as the daily walks.

I'm not meditating because I need this time right now to make the round trips and not be back home too late to miss tutoring job offers.

I've taken possession of my apartment. No big issue.

The rental office employee did not expect me to show up with a circuit tester. I discovered that dinning room circuit has an open neutral.

The employee mumbled something about folks testing circuits by plugging something like a phone charger.

There are a number of conditions that the phone charger test won't tell you about. More importantly,

THE PHONE CHARGER MAY WORK, BUT THE CIRCUIT MAY STILL BE DANGEROUS!!!!!!!

If you want to do to a decent job testing a circuit, you need a circuit tester.

I'm taking possession of my next apartment today. 🥳

Then comes the hard part.... moving... but the big move happens in two days. In the meantime I'm going to be moving some of my stuff, strategically selected.
