i tried out #wallabag and #koreader on my kobo to replace #instapaper and the stock interface. i really didn't care much for it. at least i know i have an option if #kobo ever enshittifies. i still need to pick up a new kobo, though. the battery on this one won't make it much longer.

Il y a des gens qui ont passé des #Remarkable Pro Move sur #Koreader, ici ?

Vous avez des retours d'expérience à faire ?

Anyone using KOReader and Calibre able to offer me some assistance with the KOReader Sync plugin in Calibre? I'm getting a weird error message when trying to sync.

I am not on Reddit, Github, Discord, or any of the other websites that people inexplicably think should be the gatekept source of information about *insert thing here*; do not recommend that I go to them for help.

The #koreader statstics are nice, but not really helpful for imports to #openlibrary or #bookwyrm. I guess I would have to combine them with my #calibre library for more information on the books themselves. Still, it's nice to have the data.
Next up: comparison of #libby and #goodreads exports to see how to adjust the first to look like the latter.

In a strange turn of events my 13 year #Kindle was decided to walk out on me. Any recommendations for a DIY/ #esp32 / #pico powered alternatives that are less restrictive? I’m not inclined to go towards a Kobo with #koreader. My candidates are:
- Touch version of Open Book: https://www.crowdsupply.com/oddly-specific-objects/open-book-touch
- Dual screen reader: https://www.crowdsupply.com/diptyx/diptyx-e-reader/updates/custom-cases-and-production-progress
- PineNote: https://pine64.org/devices/pinenote/
- Inkpkate powered: https://soldered.com/collections/inkplate-e-paper-displays

Anything interesting I’ve missed?

OK, if I want to import my reading statistics to #OpenLibrary, I need a CSV file in the #Goodreads export format. I don't have a Goodreads account, so can anyone tell me what an exported file from there looks like? I'm sure I'll be able to go from my #Libby and maybe #KOReader exports to that format (after all, ETL is a big part or my job), if only I knew what it's supposed to be.

PS: yes, since I'm not over the @bookrastinating catastrophe, I'm trying something other than #bookwyrm for now.

The #mobileread jailbreaker folks and the #KOReader devs and #jailbreak devs in general deserve a Turing award.
I realised that #koreader actually has pretty neat reading statistics, which I can easily back up to my mailbox cloud using #webdav. I now have an (almost empty) #sqlite database which I haven't looked at yet, but it made me wonder if I could also read books from my #library I borrowed via #libby in KOReader instead. Well, the answer seems to be yes, with an ACSM plugin!
