Merci !

Anyone using KOReader and Calibre able to offer me some assistance with the KOReader Sync plugin in Calibre? I'm getting a weird error message when trying to sync.

I am not on Reddit, Github, Discord, or any of the other websites that people inexplicably think should be the gatekept source of information about *insert thing here*; do not recommend that I go to them for help.

The #koreader statstics are nice, but not really helpful for imports to #openlibrary or #bookwyrm. I guess I would have to combine them with my #calibre library for more information on the books themselves. Still, it's nice to have the data.
Next up: comparison of #libby and #goodreads exports to see how to adjust the first to look like the latter.

While my ancient PRS-T1 ebook reader can no longer be used to browse the web directly (due to its ancient browser, and more important, outdated certificates), I've found that Calibre can convert downloaded websites into epub ebooks just fine - and comes with a built-in HTML editor that makes post-processing the automatically converted files a breeze.

This is quite useful for reading lengthy blog-posts on the couch.

Unfortunately I was not able to #jailbreak my #kindle paperwhite 7th gen, but in the process of doing so the device was reset to a pristine state of no interaction whatsoever with Amazon, which I consider a win. And since it's trivial to convert books and upload them with #calibre, I don't really see a big need for any further action. I will just keep airplane mode on, and ignore everytime the device asks me to register to the empire of evil. Small victories 🙂
