Interrail DiscoverEU, the opportunity for 18-year-olds to travel for free in Europe.

The European initiative is dedicated to young people aged 18, and offers a free Interrail pass to travel in Europe. The call for applications for spring 2026 is open from April 8th to 22nd for those born between July 1st, 2007, and June 30th, 2008.

Hamburg was nice, a couple of museums and some working. I stayed at Villa Viva and was again really happy with the price quality ratio.

My trip to Lille was very badly calibrated: every train was late, except for the last one, which meant that I was exactly 59 minutes late, not an hour, which makes seeking for compensation moot. Which, by the way, is super easy via the interrail page, I'll never do the DB compensation shit again.
