I have smth nice to say about #sncf . The booking page allows to reserve a ticket. I.e. I can reserve the ticket for the outbound trip, the return trip. Then worry about booking activities and accommodation at the destination. And if all those work out, I actually buy the train ticket, otherwise I release the reservation.
With #renfe, I could only pay a higher ticketing category and still only get 70% of the purchase price back.
(I'm👀 a trip where travel and participation tickets are limited)

TGV-Intercités, TER, Transilien?), Eurostar, TGV Lyria, Keolis or Effia? And then in Paris, you've also got splits like RATP operating RER lines A and B, and SNCF operating C, D and E. And those bits of SNCF are not above buck-passing and customer-dodging when things go wrong.
