I took the exotic S-bahn to Pinneberg & ECE to Copenhagen connection from Hamburg. I arrived in Pinneberg early, thinking of nice cup of coffee and provision shopping, instead of struggling the hbf Edeka.

Oh noes, it was a stuttgart renovation hell all over again. I can't fathom how one can even make such a mess out of this small a station. Nor how can a cafeteria be so uninviting. Luckily, I was saved by a börek bought just outside of the station maze.

Well, here's a great #overnighthotel in Hamburg! Ten or so minutes walk from hbf, ~20 € night in a Camping ground box. It really is a small one, but kind of a private room anyway. With a tiniest window. They seem to sell pretty quickly though.

Last leg of my current #Interrail pass today, day four of four... Amsterdam to London.

There are queues for security and passport control at the UK terminal. Well-managed, though, and the whole thing is done in about ten minutes.

The departure lounge, half-built the last time I was here, is full. Not oppressively so... some people are standing but with a squeeze everyone would probably have a seat.

For me, Lille is the best Eurostar node on the #CrossChannelRail routes right now with Amsterdam doing well and London and Brussels decent enough these days. Gare du Nord is the outlier, an utter gong show.

kurze Frage: muss der Fahrt aus meinem Land nach der Grenze die erste Fahrt sein? Wir wollen im Sommer zwei Reise machen und unsere erste Strecke könnten wir mit Deutschlandticket fahren

Sagt mal, ihr in der #BahnBubble kennt euch doch aus mit der #bahn hab ich mir sagen lassen.

Ich würd gern mit der Family (2 Erwachsene, 1 8-jähriger) nach Ostern ein paar Tage nach Budapest reisen (Übernachtung dort von 6.-9.4.) und mit dem Nachtzug ab Stuttgart reisen. Bin irgendwie erschlagen, wo ich das jetzt am besten buchen soll. Gibt ja gerade ein #interrail Angebot, aber ich bekomme nicht raus, was da dann die Bett/3-er-Schlafabteil-Reservierung als Aufpreis kostet... Habt ihr Tipps?

Today's trip to Hamburg had many legs since I did a detour to visit Museum Ritter of Ritter Sport fame, combining my two favourite things, light art and chocolate.

The exhibition was awesome, but trip there not so much: every single train was late and one local bus on a detour without any notice, causing an unbudgeted taxi trip. Also, no time for chocolate.
