I fell down a deep rabbit hole writing about jagua dye, BIC lighters, and the death of my favorite temporary tattoo company.

RIP Inkbox Tattoos - Doc Pop's Weblog

Inkbox Tattoos shut down today. They offered high-quality temporary tattoos that looked great and lasted for weeks. I was a huge fan of their service, but I had a feeling the end was near when they started pushing “NFT tattoos.” Aside from the NFT tattoos, *sigh*, Inkbox had three main product options (Wayback link here): […]

Okay this is really cool. Just to see what it was like I installed InkBox OS 2.0 (based on Alpine Linux and using the QT framework) on my Kobo Nia*.

There are some very neat things about it, but what I really like so far is the storefront style integration with Project Gutenberg (public domain books) so you can get to reading right away.

* The Nia has had some hardware changes, so using the patch release for my hardware.

Soooooo, my #Inkbox temp tattoo came today. I needed to try it this way first before I make it permanent. I really love it a lot. It’s simple and understated but still means so much to me. #LLAP
