the past creeps up on me
from the most unexpected

on my present moments

burrow back to those days
of immortality those hours
that were always endless
the nights never too long
the days supple with time

the binds that stretch all
those years long are strong
as bending steel load
bearing pain bearing,
happiness a holy state
of being in silent rooms

narrow now the straits
as finity rolls across the
horizon too close
