Good to see an organized response to the RFKJr idiocy. #MAHA is to #PublicHealth what #MAGA is to good #governance. Both absurd #ideological responses fail to address the root causes for problems we face. But both excellent at #blaming_THEM for problems, while aggravating the real problems.

The actions come as #Trump & his top aides seek to bend #academic institutions to their #ideological beliefs. The #State Dept’s public *diplomacy* office is run by #DarrenBeattie, a political appointee who was fired from a job during the first Trump admin after he gave a talk at a #WhiteNationalist conference. He has made social media posts on white grievances, including one saying “competent white men must be in charge if you want things to work.”…
The #disinformation also added to the confusion over what exactly was happening on the streets, which was portrayed in digital & #SocialMedia [& #RightWing *news* #media] through starkly divergent #ideological lenses. Many posts created the false impression that the entire city was engulfed in violence, when the few clashes were limited to only very small parts.

The #legislation, which could change in the #Senate, would raise #taxes on #universities like #Harvard, as well as on #immigrants & on companies based in countries w/taxes the #Trump admin deems unfair. Owners of major #sports franchises, a group Trump repeatedly tried & failed to join, would also see a tax increase.
“If you’re an #ideological friend of Trump,
