Su impacto fue enorme: consolidó al iPhone como referencia absoluta del smartphone moderno y elevó el estándar de pantalla, diseño, fotografía móvil y videollamadas.

También fue un punto clave en la era post-PC que Apple venía impulsando: el teléfono dejó de ser solo un dispositivo de comunicación y se convirtió en una computadora de bolsillo cada vez más poderosa.

7 de junio de 2010, Steve Jobs presentó el iPhone 4 en la WWDC en el Moscone West de San Francisco.

No fue una actualización: fue uno de los rediseños más importantes en la historia del iPhone.

El iPhone 4 introdujo un cuerpo de vidrio y acero inoxidable, pantalla Retina, cámara frontal para FaceTime, mejor cámara trasera, grabación de video HD y el chip A4, marcando una nueva etapa en el diseño industrial y la experiencia móvil de Apple.

The iPhone 4 is still my favorite design.

Jobs was right: it’s like a beautiful old Leica. Elegant, solid, and perfect one-handed symmetry.

The math for a foldable is perfect. The 3:2 ratio means two side-by-side create the 4:3 display of the original iPad and today's mini.

I hope a foldable brings back that short, wide feel. It feels full circle, as if the long arcs of iPhone and iPad are finally colliding into a single device. The ultimate Phone to Pad throwback.
