This is the opposite of what I wanted from WWDC.

I hoped Apple would make it easier for older apps to remain available and continue serving the people who still use them.

Instead, Apple appears to be increasing its role as curator of what software deserves to exist on the platform.

Not every app needs constant updates. Some software is finished. Some software simply works.
I worry that we're losing the idea that apps can age gracefully..

I feel like Golden Gate symbolizes Apple's move to AI. Like this is _the_ version that is the gateway/bridge to an AI UX.
I'm interested in tomorrow's WWDC keynote and sessions, but not like I used to be. It's used to feel like Christmas, just feels like a corporate event now. The magic is gone.
