So would installing ibus instead of doing that config file change solve the problem as well?

This is a current EndeavousOS (Arch based).

There are many ibus- packages for input methods like Chinese but none for Khmer and Khmer doesn't need an input method different from ordinary, it's just an ordinary keyboard layout, though 4 of the keys don't work.

Bon, évidemment ça marche pas sous Wayland et Sway... mais c'est pas pour moi donc c'est pas forcément grave. Il faut que je teste sur une autre machine.

Introduction Ibus-typing-booster is a completion input method to speedup typing. The project was started in 2010 for Fedora 15. The original purpose was to make typing of Indic languages easier and faster by providing completion and spell checking suggestions. Originally it was forked from ibus-table whose developer was Yu Yuwei [email protected], with contributions from Caius("kaio") Chance [email protected]. Since then ibus-typing-booster has been improved to support many other languages as well (most languages except Chinese and Japanese are supported).

Why does changing the #ibus input method via hotkey not work anymore??? Do I really have to switch to #fcitx? imho ibus is much more comfortable. If it works.

Aujourd'hui j'ai appris que si notre application utilisant #python et #tkinter rame sous #gnome c'est à cause d'#ibus et que ça se corrige avec :

I don't remember who asked me about the #bitwigstudio #keyboard input issue that I mentioned when I was still on #manjaro.

Today, I came across crash logs indicating that "ibus-x11" can crash when Bitwig Studio is run on a #wayland session, resulting in Bitwig Studio losing keyboard input capability.

I did not have this problem on #archlinux anymore because #ibus is not installed by default and must be installed separately.

@diegomota Já tentou instalar o pacote ibus ou o pacote ibus-typing-booster (para autocompletar)? Esse último é usado no Fedora. Tenho ele instalado no Arch Linux. Não tenho esses problemas no Firefox. #firefox #gnome #ibus #archlinux
