@TheEvilSkeleton @Liberapay Funnily enough, you back in October were pretty much the reason I created an account on it in the first place.
I wonder if there's a way that work on common goods such as #gnome could receive some sort of charity-work status allowing tax-exemptions and thus enabling donating the amount that would usually go to tax as well.

lol it seems #GNOME on #Bluefin leading edge (Fedora 43) wakes up the black screen to pop a "Support GNOME" donation request. (Fresh install, should be easy to reproduce.)
Info about the banner (not about waking up the screen) https://linuxiac.com/gnome-plans-new-donation-reminder-pop-up-in-upcoming-release/
So... where is the crowdfunding to get webextensions working with WebKit GTK? (not asking for a friend)
I mean, I know giving to Gnome is already a good way to help it happen some day, but I'm wondering if there is something more specific already in the making. For instance is there someone who said they'd be interested in doing it but don't have the funding, or a specific intent statement from the Gnome foundation?

I wish more LibAdwaita apps would change their colors away from the standard white/dark gray colors to more vibrant colors that match their branding so my desktop could look like candy.
I'm not a big fan of user theming but I love me some good developer theming.
3 weeks into using GNOME 49 on the two laptops that are running Fedora 43 hasn't really made me miss using KDE Plasma as much as I had expected.
I have gotten used to the GNOME/Adwaita look and feel, though some KDE/Qt apps use monospaced fonts for certain text elements (title bar for OBS Studio and QOwnNotes) and some apps don't respect light/dark theme (I know there's probably an environment variable that I need to set).
Since I like using KRename to do a lot of bulk file renames (The GNOME Files bulk rename options are pretty decent), I still have to use SMB4K to mount network shares for KRename to work with remote files.
The only other hiccup is probably more of a Fedora 43 thing, but the instructions to get v4l2loopback + signing the models that worked on Fedora 42 are not working. 😞
