This is a Canada Jay. I always knew them as Whiskey Jacks and having met them I think the name suited. but it turns out that was never their official name. They were originally Canada Jays then they became Gray Jays (with the American spelling of grey, no less) And now apparently they are back to being officially Canada Jays, which is better than Grey Jays considering that they're mostly brown and white, But look at that twinkle in his eye he's a Whiskey Jack through and through.

For instance, you can activate #youtube, #peertube and #twitch (and several other platforms) and have all the videos in the same place.

One thing I don't like is the fact that the peertube plugin restricts by default the search to the creator's instance, rendering it pretty useless at the start. You have to change it to sepia search yourself. An unnecessary annoyance.

Yesterday, I did a little bit of testing to #greyjay. It doesn't convince me fully, there's a couple of things there that I don't like (then again, maybe they just need getting used to), but its approach to things is something I do like.

If you don't know what it is, it's an android app that allows you to watch videos (and listen to music as well, apparently) hosted by a number of different platforms.

Wow #GreyJay is such a cool app. I bet this would catch on way faster if the technofeudalists weren't in control.

Been using it for watching YouTube and Odyssey from my LineageOS phone. Has many other sources as well. https://greyjay.app

@mildbeard Good news: there are some great alternatives to the #youtube app. #Libretube #GreyJay and #ReVanced are a few. GreyJay even let's you see peertube videos alongside YouTube and odysee videos.
