They knew they would trigger a reaction from Palestine that they could use against them later. Israel is evil. Netanyahu is evil. Pretending this conflict started in October 2023 is completely denying Palestinians' basic human rights, and therefore, evil.

I can't deny the 'atrocities' which were committed by indigenous Americans against settlers trying to steal their land and erase their people. I can't deny the 'atrocities' committed during Nat Turner's slave rebellion as he fought to gain freedom for his people. I can't deny the 'atrocities' committed in the struggle to free South Africa from apartheid colonial rule. To the contrary, I recognize all of them, and I wish none of them were necessary. But they were, and I condemn none of them.

I do, however, condemn feckless liberals who equate resisting the erasure of your people with committing the erasure of a people. Do with that information what you will.
